Product Information
Methyl 7-hydroxy-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carboxylate (MHC) is a ligand that binds to the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ). It has agonist activities on PPARγ and it has been shown to induce the transcription of PPARγ target genes. MHC also activates the expression of PPARγ target genes in human lymphocytes, keratinocytes, adipocytes, and hepatocytes. MHC can be used as a therapeutic agent for obesity and diabetes.
