Product Information
3,5-Di(1H-benzo[D]imidazol-2-yl)pyridine is a ketone that has a benzimidazolyl ring. It is soluble in organic solvents and can be used as an intermediate to synthesize other compounds with high thermal stability. 3,5-Di(1H-benzo[D]imidazol-2-yl)pyridine has been shown to emit fluorescence when irradiated by light at wavelengths of 360 nm and 450 nm. The emission peaks are attributed to the transition of the molecule from the ground state to an excited singlet state. This compound also has a high yield in the reaction with nucleophiles such as thiourea and ammonia, as well as a transition temperature of 152 °C and a pyridine NMR chemical shift of 2.94 ppm.
