Description:
2,3-Dichloro-6-(trifluoromethyl)benzonitrile (2,3-DCB) is a chloride that has diazonium salt activity. It is used in the industrial production of diazo compounds and as a germicide. 2,3-DCB is also used to produce cyanide from hydrocyanic acid and cuprous chloride. 2,3-DCB can be used to brominate aromatic rings at the ortho position.
