Description:
Eniporide hydrochloride is a potent and selective inhibitor of TRPV1, a member of the transient receptor potential (TRP) ion channel family. It blocks the activation of TRPV1 by capsaicin and related compounds, which are known to cause pain in humans. Eniporide hydrochloride has been shown to inhibit the activation of TRPV1 by capsaicin in human sensory neurons and dorsal root ganglia. Eniporide hydrochloride can also be used as an antibody-based reagent to detect proteins that bind to TRPV1.
