Description:
1,3-Oxazolo[4,5-b]pyridine-2-thiol is an organic compound that can be synthesized manually or inorganically. It has a fluorescence property and a dipole moment. The molecule reacts with azides in the presence of an inorganic acid to form a thione, which has strong fluorescing properties. 1,3-Oxazolo[4,5-b]pyridine-2-thiol reacts with phosphite to form an alkylating agent that is used in the synthesis of p. aeruginosa and S. aureus isolates.
