- A 740003
A740003 is a small-molecule compound that has been shown to activate the P2Y receptor. Activation of these receptors can lead to neuronal death and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. It has also been shown that activation of these receptors can cause autoimmune diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colitis. A740003 is a primary cell-active compound that has been shown to inhibit the signaling pathways required for T-cell proliferation in vitro. It inhibits the cation channel TRPV4 and toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), which are associated with IBD, as well as microglia in the brain. This drug also inhibits polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification of dsDNA in human osteosarcoma cells.
