Description:
L-Alanine cyclobutylmethyl ester hydrochloride is a prodrug that is converted to the active form in vivo. This drug has been shown to have antiviral properties and can be used for the treatment of HIV, hepatitis B virus, or hepatitis C virus infections. It inhibits the activity of the enzyme RNA-dependent RNA polymerase and blocks viral replication. L-Alanine cyclobutylmethyl ester hydrochloride has also been shown to inhibit leukemia cells in vitro and in vivo.
