Description:

3-Amino-2-(aminomethyl)propyl]dimethylamine trihydrochloride (3AAPDMH) is an industrial chemical that can be used as a reagent in the synthesis of other compounds. 3AAPDMH is stable and has a high melting point, which makes it suitable for use in hydrogenation reactions. It is also resistant to hydrolysis and oxidation, making it useful in organic synthesis. 3AAPDMH can be prepared by reacting benzaldehyde with ammonia and methylamine hydrochloride in an acidic solution. The reaction is carried out at reflux temperature for about 18 hours, followed by removal of the solvent under vacuum at 130°C. The product can then be purified by recrystallization or distillation.
