Description

L-Malic acid, disodium salt is an excellent reagent for the preparation of complex compounds. L-Malic acid, disodium salt is a white crystalline powder with a melting point of about 158°C. It is soluble in water and has a pH of 3.5 when dissolved in water. L-Malic acid, disodium salt can be used as a building block to synthesize complex compounds and is also used as a versatile building block in organic synthesis. It has been shown to react with sodium nitrite to form sodium malonate at high temperatures.
