Description

DL-alpha-Methyltryptamine monohydrochloride (DLMT) is a synthetic, water-soluble peptide that is used as a research tool in cell biology. DLMT binds to the alpha2A receptor and activates it. It can also be used to inhibit the activity of voltage-gated sodium channels, which are necessary for normal neuronal function. This drug is used for pharmacological studies and has been shown to bind to many different proteins and antibodies. DLMT has been shown to interact with ion channels and receptors in cells, as well as with ligands such as dopamine.
