Description

1,5-Anhydro-4,6-O-benzylidene-3-deoxy-2-O-toluoyl-D-glucitol is a methylated saccharide that is used in the synthesis of complex carbohydrates. It was synthesized by a click modification reaction with 2-(1H-benzotriazole-1-yl)methyl 4,6-anhydro toluene and 1,5 anhydro 3,4,6 deoxy glucose. The compound has been shown to have an antiinflammatory effect in the mouse model of colitis.
