Description:
3-Amino-3-deoxy-D-glucose HCl is a synthetic compound that inhibits the efflux of glucose from cells. It has been shown to inhibit growth in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the function of an efflux pump. 3-Amino-3-deoxy-D-glucose HCl has also shown antifungal activity against Candida albicans and Aspergillus fumigatus.
