(2-Butenyl)chloropalladium dimer (2BCP) is a vinylic palladium complex that is used in photonics. It has been shown to be a ligand for silicon and has the ability to bind to lanthanide ions, which has led to its use in spirocyclic and alkene metallocene complexes. 2BCP can be polymerized with other monomers to create devices such as organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). This material is commercially available as an acetate salt or a phosphate salt.
