Phosphoric Acid 2-Ethylhexyl Ester (Mono-and Di-Ester Mixture) is a viscosity control agent that has been used in the production of polymers and coatings. This product is a mixture of mono-and di-esters of phosphoric acid with 2-ethylhexanol. It can be used as an extractant for naphthalene and other aromatic hydrocarbons from water, air, and soil. The esters are also produced in the body during metabolism of fatty acids. Phosphoric Acid 2-Ethylhexyl Ester (Mono-and Di-Ester Mixture) is metabolized to form acidic compounds such as malonic acid, which can be detected in the urine by analytical chemistry.
