Description:
Benzyl 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-3,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-b-D-glucopyranoside is a synthetic sugar that is used as a glycosylation reagent for the synthesis of oligosaccharides and polysaccharides. It reacts with saccharides in the presence of 1,3-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) and 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine (DMAP). The benzyl group can be modified to include fluorine atoms or methyl groups.
