Product Information
2-Chloro-4-ethoxy-6-methylpyrimidine is a pyrimidine derivative that has potent inhibition of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. This inhibition leads to increased levels of acetylcholine and a number of other neurotransmitters, which in turn causes stress-induced ulcers. 2-Chloro-4-ethoxy-6-methylpyrimidine also has antiulcer activity, which may be due to its ability to increase mucus secretion and reduce acid production in the stomach. 2CEMPMP has shown cytoprotective effects against ethanol, indomethacin, and aspirin induced liver damage.
