Description:
Cyanomethyl 2,3-O-isopropylidene-5-O-trityl-D-ribofuranoside is a carbohydrate that is used as a building block for the synthesis of oligosaccharides and polysaccharides. It is synthesized from D-ribose and methyl 2,3-O-(1,2,4)triazole by the reaction of the glycosyl donor 2,3,5-triacetoxybenzaldehyde with methyl iodide followed by reaction with sodium methoxide. This product has not been tested for microbial contamination or endotoxins.
