Description

Bifemelane hydrochloride is a compound that has been shown to inhibit neuronal death by lowering intracellular Ca2+ levels. It also protects cells from oxidative stress and increases the activity of ATPase in mitochondria. Bifemelane hydrochloride has been used in experimental models of infectious diseases and metabolic disorders. It has also been shown to decrease locomotor activity, cell nuclei size, and cholinergic neurotransmission in low-dose groups. Bifemelane hydrochloride may be a promising pharmacological agent for brain functions and locomotor activity.
