Product Information
Adamantane-1,3-dicarboxamide is a macrocycle that has a tetralactam core. It is a thermally stable compound with an affinity for adamantyl groups. Adamantane-1,3-dicarboxamide has been shown to have photophysical and luminescent properties. The macrocycle is encapsulated between two anthracene units on one side and two adamantyl units on the other side of the molecule. This creates a high thermal stability, which may be due to the encapsulation preventing interactions with water molecules. In addition, simulations have shown that this compound can be used as a strategy in order to create new compounds with higher thermal stability.
