Product Information
N-(3-Bromo-4-oxocyclohexyl)acetamide is a cytotoxic agent that has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. It interacts with the thiourea group of dehydrogenase, which leads to the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and ultimately cell death by apoptotic pathway. Caspases are activated and colocalize with ROS. N-(3-Bromo-4-oxocyclohexyl)acetamide has also been shown to be effective against leukemia cells and can be used as a chemotherapeutic agent for the treatment of cancers.
