Product Information

Name:
Butyrolactone II
Synonyms:
  • 2-Furancarboxylic acid, 2,5-dihydro-4-hydroxy-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-[(4-hydroxyphenyl)methyl]-5-oxo-, methyl ester, (2R)-
Description:

Butyrolactone II is a monoclonal antibody that is used for the diagnosis of leukemia. It specifically binds to acetate extract from k562 cells, which are human leukemia cells. The antibody also has a synergic effect with butyrolactone, which inhibits apoptosis in cancer cells. Butyrolactone II also has thermal expansion properties and can be used as a building material or as an additive in polymers to enhance their thermal expansion properties. This chemical diversity makes it possible to use butyrolactone II in various applications, such as the detection and treatment of cancerous cells.
