Metalaxyl Metabolite CGA 62826 is a metabolite of metalaxyl. It is an organic compound that is used as a fungicide. This compound inhibits the growth of phytophthora megasperma by inhibiting the activity of its enzymes, such as esterase and lipase. Metalaxyl Metabolite CGA 62826 has been shown to inhibit the growth of resistant cultivars of Fragaria (strawberry) plants in animal studies. The metabolites are either covalently or ester-linked to the parent molecule, metalaxyl, and are excreted in urine with a half-life of 2 hours.
