Formononetin-b-D-glucuronide sodium salt is a synthetic compound that is commonly used as a building block in the synthesis of oligosaccharides and polysaccharides. Formononetin-b-D-glucuronide sodium salt is also known to be an inhibitor of human DNA polymerase alpha, which has been shown to inhibit the replication of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1).
