Description:

Valsartan Related Compound E (VRCE) is an amide of valsartan. VRCE is synthesized by reacting valsartan with potassium hydroxide in aqueous solution followed by hydrolysis to form the corresponding amide, which is then acylated with dibutyltin oxide. The compound can be analyzed using chromatography and quantified using UV detection at 220 nm. VRCE can be used as a reference standard for the analysis of valsartan in biological samples.
