Description:
4,7-Dichloro-6-nitroquinazoline is a synthetic compound that has been found to have antibacterial and antitumor activities. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells in vitro by binding to tyrosine kinase receptors. 4,7-Dichloro-6-nitroquinazoline also inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-8, IL-10, and TNFα by blocking the activity of NFκB. This drug has been shown to be effective against staphylococcus bacteria.
