(2-Aminoethyl)naphthalimide is an aminonaphthalene that was synthesized and crystallised in acidic environment. It has a conjugate with a fluorescent compound, which makes it useful for diagnosis in the cytosolic profile. (2-Aminoethyl)naphthalimide has been shown to be effective in enhancing fluorescence of some molecules, such as cis-parinaric acid, and this effect is reversible. This compound also has antitumour activity and can be used for the detection of tumours by microscopy.
