Product Information
Diphosphine is a ligand that binds to metal ions. Diphosphine has been shown to act as an antenna for ruthenium complexes. A diphosphine-ruthenium complex has been synthesized by combining 5-ethynyl-2,2'-bipyridine with a ruthenium precursor in the presence of a base. The luminescent properties of this complex have been studied and found to be dependent on the substituents on the bipyridine ligand. The subunits are connected by a constant distance, and the chromophore is bound to one of these subunits.
