Product Information
- 9-(2-ethylhexyl)-9H-carbazole
9-Ethylhexyl)carbazole is a molecule that is used as a chromophore. It has been shown to be an efficient donor in classically heterojunction photovoltaic devices, and has been used to increase the photocurrent. 9-Ethylhexyl)carbazole reacts irreversibly with oxygen in air, so it can not be used in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). However, it does have luminescence properties and can be used as a red fluorescent dye. 9-Ethylhexyl)carbazole's optical properties are determined by its structure and the functional theory of light absorption and emission. This molecule has photophysical properties that depend on the orientation of the alkyl chain on the carbazole ring.
