Description

Isovitexin is a flavonoid that is found in the leaves of Vitex negundo. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis and its antioxidant properties. Isovitexin has also been shown to have the potential to reduce postprandial blood glucose levels in mice, as well as having an effect on bowel disease. Isovitexin is soluble in water and biocompatible polymers, making it a good candidate for drug delivery systems.
