Product Information
(-)-DHMEQ is a potent inhibitor of NF-κB activation, which is an intracellular protein that regulates the expression of proinflammatory genes. (-)-DHMEQ has been shown to inhibit the nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) response element in a variety of cells and tissues. (-)-DHMEQ has been shown to have cytotoxic activity against solid tumours and myeloma cell lines. It also inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6, and TNFα from activated macrophages, which are cells that help fight infection by releasing these cytokines. (-)-DHMEQ also has anti-inflammatory effects in bowel disease models.
