Product Information
2,6-Dichloro-N-(1-cyanocycloheptyl)benzamide (2,6-DCB) is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the CD20 antigen on B cells and inhibits the production of autoantibodies. This drug has been shown to be more potent than other anti-CD20 antibodies in clinical studies involving animals with autoimmune diseases. 2,6-DCB could potentially be used as a biomarker for autoimmune diseases because it may bind to proteins produced by necrotic cells. In women, chronic kidney disease (CKD) is associated with increased levels of serum autoantibodies and an increased risk of CKD progression. A mouse strain with genetic deletion of CD20 and two strains with single gene mutations in CD20 were used to study the effects of 2,6-DCB on autoimmunity. These studies showed that 2,6-DCB can inhibit autoimmunity
