Mizoribine 5'-monophosphate is a novel molecule that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It has been observed that Mizoribine 5'-monophosphate inhibits the activity of a number of enzymes, including neutral endopeptidases, aminopeptidases, and esterases, which may be involved in the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease. Mizoribine 5'-monophosphate also blocks the production of autoantibodies and suppresses the immune response by inhibiting T cells. The therapeutic potential for Mizoribine 5'-monophosphate is currently being investigated in clinical trials for treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.
