This prevents the transmission of nerve impulses and may be used as an inhibitor in research and development. 3-[3-(3,6-Dichloro-carbazol-9-yl)-2-hydroxy-propyl]-thiazolidine-2,4-dione has also been shown to inhibit ligand binding to peptide receptors.
