This class of compounds has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in cell cultures and animal models. 3-(4,4,5,5-Tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-1H-indazole also inhibits the growth of methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
