Phenyl 2,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-3-O-allyl β D thioglucopyranoside also has a safety profile that is similar to other antidiabetic drugs. This drug has been shown to inhibit influenza virus uptake into cells by competitive inhibition of a transporter type.
