Product Information
GS 626510 is an anticancer drug that binds to and inhibits the function of bromodomain proteins. Bromodomain proteins are found in many tissues, including the cervix, and are involved in regulating gene expression. GS 626510 has been shown to inhibit the growth of cervical cancer cells by binding to the bromodomain protein BRD4, which regulates gene expression. It induces cell death by inhibiting tumor suppressors and inducing mutations in primary tumors. GS 626510 has also been shown to be effective against leiomyosarcomas, a type of sarcoma that arises from smooth muscle cells in soft tissues or bone. This drug is more potent against cells with mutations than those without mutations, as well as being more effective at lower doses.
