Description:
D-Tagatose-6-phosphate lithium salt is a bacterial strain that belongs to the group of polyols. It is an epimerization product of D-tagatose, which is converted by the enzyme tagatose kinase to D-tagatose-6-phosphate. D-Tagatose-6-phosphate lithium salt can be used as a substrate for the enzymes galactitol dehydrogenase and galactitol 1,2-dioxygenase, which are involved in the metabolism of D-tagatose.
