1,3,4,6-Tetra-O-acetyl-2-azido-2-deoxy-b-D-glucopyranose is a monosaccharide that has been shown to be a potential biomarker for protein synthesis. It has been used in the diagnosis of dissections and potential models in vitro. 1,3,4,6-Tetra-O-acetyl-2-azido-2-deoxy--b -D--glucopyranose has also been used as a model system for the study of protein transport and whole genome sequencing. It is an experimental tool for studying protein synthesis and cell nuclei in vitro.
