1,2,3,4-Tetra-O-benzyl-6-O-tert-butyldiphenylsilyl-b-D-glucopyranose is a fluorinated monosaccharide. It is synthesized by reacting benzyl bromide with 1,2,3,4-tetra-O-(benzyloxycarbonyl)-D-glucopyranosyl chloride in the presence of triethylamine and pyridine. This compound can be used as a building block for the synthesis of oligosaccharides and polysaccharides. The modification of the sugar moiety is carried out through methylation or click chemistry. The purity of this compound is >98%.
