4-Bromo-1-(4-pyrrolidinosulfonylphenyl)pyrazole (BPPS) is a potent inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases, which are enzymes that regulate the progression of cells in the cell cycle. BPPS inhibits the activity of these enzymes and has been shown to have proliferative effects on certain types of cells. BPPS is used to study the role of cyclin-dependent kinases in cell proliferation and autoimmune diseases. It has also been shown to inhibit cathepsin B and L, which are proteolytic enzymes that are important for cell growth.
