Product Information
PTP1B-IN-1 is a small molecule that has been shown to inhibit the activity of PTP1B, an enzyme involved in the signaling cascade that leads to insulin resistance. It has been shown to be effective against HIV infection and metabolic disorders in humans. PTP1B-IN-1 binds to the membrane phospholipids on cells and inhibits the production of fatty acids, which are involved in inflammatory processes. In addition, it can prevent bacterial translocation by inhibiting toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) activation. This drug also has a high affinity for human serum albumin because it is hydrophobic and can penetrate cell membranes easily.
