Description:
2'-Amino-2'-deoxycytidine is a noncompetitive inhibitor of β-glucosidase that has been shown to inhibit the growth of human viruses, such as herpes simplex virus and adenovirus. It has also been shown to inhibit the synthesis of chondroitin sulfate, which is a biological property that may be due to its ability to bind with basic fibroblast cells. This drug is synthesized in a laboratory and does not occur naturally.
