4-Amino-3-(1-naphthylmethyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine-1-(b-D-ribofuranosyl-5'-triphosphate) is a nucleoside that inhibits the growth of cancer cells. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of leukemia and lymphoma cells in vitro. This compound is active against herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1) and has antiviral properties. The chemical synthesis of 4-amino-(1HNMPP) is novel and should provide high purity and quality products.
