Description:

8-Hydroxyquinoline copper(II) salt is a copolymer that absorbs odors and can be used as an antibacterial agent. 8-Hydroxyquinoline copper(II) salt is a phenolic compound with the chemical formula CuCl2·NH4OH·8H2O. The polymer has been shown to have an antibacterial effect against Gram negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It also has a deodorizing effect on butadiene, which is used in the manufacture of synthetic rubber.
