Description:
(2-Methyl-4-nitro-imidazol-1-yl)-acetic acid ethyl ester is a hydrogen bond stabilizer that contains two methyl groups in the 2 and 4 positions. It has a dihedral angle of 120° and an imidazole ring with a nitrogen atom as the lone electron pair. This compound is stabilized by hydrogen bonds, forming a hydrogen bond with water molecules. The ethyl acetate group is also stabilized by an intramolecular hydrogen bond.
