Product Information
4-Vinylbenzyl bromide (stabilized with TBC) is a solvent that is used in the polymerization of cationic monomers. It is a colorless liquid with a boiling point of 91°C and a melting point of -60°C. 4-Vinylbenzyl bromide has been shown to be a good solvent for polymers, and it can be polymerized by cationic polymerization. The reaction products are soluble in organic solvents such as chloroform, dichloromethane, or benzene. 4-Vinylbenzyl bromide is also used to remove chloride ions from organic substances.
