N-Methylbenzylamine Hydrochloride is a chloride of N-methylbenzylamine. It is used in the synthesis of fulleropyrrolidines, which are used as pharmaceuticals and in the production of dyes. The compound reacts with trifluoroacetic acid to form a salt, which can be hydrolyzed by sodium hydroxide solution to form an amine. This amine can then be reacted with an alicyclic compound to produce a molecule that contains nitrogen atoms.
