Gadolinium chloride hexahydrate (GdCl3.6H2O) is a water-soluble salt of gadolinium. It has well-known biological properties, including enhanced plasma mass spectrometry for diagnostic purposes and the ability to increase the sensitivity of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Gadolinium chloride hexahydrate also has applications in wastewater treatment, process optimization, and structural analysis. The chemical stability of GdCl3.6H2O makes it suitable for use in particle production, as well as in MRI contrast agents and other biomedical applications.
