Product Information
3-Methyl-1-nitronaphthalene (3MN) is a nitrate pollutant that is emitted from various sources, such as biomass burning and the incomplete combustion of fossil fuels. 3MN can also be produced by the oxidation of aromatic hydrocarbons in the atmosphere. 3MN has been shown to be an important atmospheric marker for estimating the levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). In addition, 3MN has been detected in aerosols and molecular markers have been found in gaseous samples.
