Nitric acid, samarium(3+) salt, hydrate (3:1:6) is a compound that can be used as an oxidizing agent in electrochemical reactions. The compound consists of three parts: nitric acid, samarium(3+) salt, and water. The nitric acid and the samarium(3+) salt react with each other to form nitrates and hydroxides. This reaction produces heat and hydrogen chloride gas. The resulting product is a mixture of many different compounds including ethylene diamine, which reacts with the water to produce ammonia and hydrogen chloride gas.
